Flippio stores your learning statistics, mastery status, flashcard scores, daily streak, and mock exam results entirely on your device using your browser's localStorage API. This data:
- Remains on your device and is not sent to or stored on Flippio's servers.
- Is used to power interactive features such as progress tracking, streaks, and quiz reviews.
- Can be cleared with Flippio's on-page reset controls or by clearing this site's browser data.
3. Advertising, Cookies & Consent
Flippio includes the Google AdSense publisher tag. Ads will only be served if and when Google approves and activates this site and advertising is enabled in the AdSense account. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to store or access information on your device, personalize or measure ads, and prevent fraud.
- Google may use information from this site and other sites to provide personalized or non-personalized advertising, subject to your choices, regional requirements, and Google policies.
- For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google's certified consent management platform (CMP) is intended to present advertising consent choices and communicate them to Google's ad tags. Flippio uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-VVV9Q4097P) to understand site traffic and how visitors use the learning materials. Depending on consent and tag settings, Google Analytics may process device and browser information, online identifiers, pages viewed, interactions, and approximate location.
- Consent Mode defaults analytics storage to denied for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland until an applicable consent choice is received.
- When analytics storage is denied, Google tags may still send limited cookieless signals, depending on the Consent Mode configuration.

5. Speech Recognition & Audio Features
Flippio includes an interactive speaking practice tool. If you choose to speak Mandarin characters into the tool, speech audio is processed directly through your web browser's standard Web Speech API (provided by your operating system or browser vendor, such as Google Chrome). Flippio does not capture, record, upload, or store your voice audio on our servers.
6. Direct Inquiries & Communications
If you contact us via email at contact@flippio.com.au or through our contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, message body). We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, investigate reported bugs, and improve our curriculum. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your contact details.
7. GDPR / European Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
