What Flippio offers
Flippio is a self-directed study resource for people beginning to learn Mandarin Chinese. It brings together vocabulary, grammar explanations, pronunciation examples, reading and listening activities, and practice exercises.
The site is not a formal course, an official test-preparation provider, or a substitute for current examination requirements. Its HSK labels describe a study level and do not mean that the content is complete or officially approved.
Editorial approach and limitations
The lessons, examples, vocabulary data, translations, pinyin, and practice questions are assembled and edited as independent learning materials. The bundled vocabulary data does not record its original publisher, release date, or version; see the vocabulary collection for its coverage notes.
Flippio does not document a formal independent review of every item by a qualified Mandarin educator or native-speaker reviewer. Examples, pinyin, translations, browser-generated audio, and explanations may contain errors or vary by context. The site's speech tools depend on your browser and device.

Flashcards and active recall
Active recall means trying to bring information to mind before checking an answer. In Flippio's flashcards, you can reveal a translation and mark whether you recalled it correctly. This is a way to structure a practice session, not a guarantee of learning or retention.
The deck's score records self-marked correct and incorrect answers; it does not assess mastery or create an adaptive review schedule. Move through the cards at a pace that suits your study, and revisit entries you find difficult.
About the flashcard vocabulary collection
The deck contains 500 records from the vocabulary dataset bundled with Flippio. The original publisher, release date, and version are not recorded, so its HSK 1 label is not evidence that the list matches a current official syllabus. The searchable flashcard reference displays the characters, pinyin, definitions, and example sentences in the deck.
